Due to expansion our client is looking for a Project Cost Analyst to join their expanding team. Working on an innovative tidal stream energy generator you will have the opportunity to work on the project from prototype design to implementation to maintenance.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of relevant mechanical experience, preferably with a marine bias. You must have strong practical experience to compliment your design capabilities and have experience developing, testing and evaluating theoretical designs. You must be happy to take full responsibility for design decisions and work packages, to plan and design new production processes and to discuss and solve problems with manufacturing departments, sub-contractors, suppliers and customers.
Essential
Proven background in technical cost estimating and modelling.
In depth understanding of excel modelling, and other cost modelling techniques.
5 years of relevant experience.
Ability to derive new and novel approaches to cost estimation.
Strong practical skills and engineering awareness.
The ability to juggle conflicting priorities.
Proven written and communication skills, team player and independent contributor.
Advantageous
· MSc, PhD or MBA
· Marine, subsea or renewable energy experience.
· Experience in quantity surveying
