Lean Six Sigma Black Belt - Midlands: Due to continued success my client is looking for a Lean Sigma Manufacturing Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a world leading manufacturing organisation.
Our client requires an experienced Certified Black Belt Six Sigma expert with proven experience of delivering measurable success within precision manufacturing environments. Able to work with minimum supervision and will have excellent experience implementing lean manufacturing methodologies and process improvements.
Duties: To analyze and improve the manufacturing methods associated with the manufacturing and testing of complex manufacturing assemblies.
*Deploy appropriate tools to ensure that processes are fully under control
oManage completion of FMEA within the plant, and drive the use of this tool within the Manufacturing Engineering function
oManage deployment of Measurement Systems Analysis and Gauge R&R to ensure that measurement systems are fully capable.
oDeploy Statistical Process Control to demonstrate and maintain process capability.
oWork with colleagues to ensure that these practices are ingrained within the culture of the business
*Use Structured Problem Solving methodology to realize true root cause analysis and elimination of problems.
oDevelop and deploy training for other members of the department to ensure best practice.
oManage achievement of Problem solving activity and drive the use of the tools throughout the department.
*Ensure that output from Root Cause Analysis (PPS or DMAIC) activities and other best practice / lessons learnt is captured and communicated plant wide.
*Liaise with senior management team on site to support the business quality strategy goal.
*Support the Lean Manufacturing culture within the business, and champion the implementation of Lean methodologies.
Candidate Requirements/Experience
*Minimum of HNC in a Manufacturing or Engineering discipline, preferably a degree in an Engineering discipline.
