My client is looking to expand its Supplier Account Management team which is responsible for delivering successful customer loan applications through relationships with suppliers of energy efficient equipment.
They are looking to recruit a home based Financial Services Supplier Account Manager on a 2 year fixed –term contract. This role can be based out of any of the following regions; South West, South, Midlands and North.
As the successful candidate your main responsibilities will include;
· Delivering and exceeding target for loan offers to customers via supplier accounts in their territory.
· Identifying potential suppliers and secure their commitment to work with the business.
· Managing relationships with suppliers, engaging with key personnel across all levels of the organisation including the senior management team and front line sales people.
· Developing new supplier relationships within existing technology sectors.
· Conducting training sessions with suppliers to educate sales people on the most efficient use of the Interest Free Loans Scheme.
· Gaining an understanding of the suppliers business plus the CO2 saving potential of their products.
· Developing and maintaining a Sales Activity Plan for sectors, geographical areas and relationship building with key suppliers and sectors.
· Maintaining accurate records of meetings with suppliers and produce a weekly breakdown of activity – reported monthly.
· Producing monthly forecast of projected loan applications from suppliers and accurately record activity within the ‘sales funnel’.
· Representing the company at external events / trade shows.
As the successful candidate you will have an understanding of SME business drivers as well as supply chains for supplier networks and experience of channel development / third party sales with the added ability of selling the benefits of supporting services.
You must be educated to Degree level, if you have MSc, PhD or MBA then this would be beneficial. Also if you are a member of a recognised professional body then this would be of high advantage.
Excellent communication and relationship building skills as well as the ability to influence and negotiate at senior and site level are essential for this position.
An understanding for the low carbon economy, energy using products and climate change would be highly advantageous for this role.
