Production Leader required to take responsibility for the operational management and execution of assigned cGMP production programmes. You will be expected to manage project teams, ensuring that financial, operational and Health and Safety targets are met.
You will also be responsible for ensuring projects comply with appropriate cGMP standards, projects are to be delivered on time and to a high standard, and you will provide support and input into the new business function. You should have a forward thinking approach and have the ability to contribute initiatives, ideas and improvements that could be made to increase the efficiency and profitability of cGMP to the production group. Being up to date with all H&S legislations is essential, as you must ensure compliance within the production group.
As a Production Leader you will ideally have proven experience of man-management, as your role will require you to motivate, support and coach individuals to increase productivity and performance within the team. It is also a possibility that you will be involved in the recruitment process, and therefore if you have experience of performing interviews this would be beneficial.
You will be degree qualified or equivalent in Science, Engineering or a similar discipline and you must have proven commercial experience working within a similar position. Experience of mammalian and viral systems would be of advantage as would experience within a pharmaceutical contract manufacturing environment. Sound communication and interpersonal skills are a must, as is the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. You will be flexible in your approach as you may be required to work in multidisciplinary teams.
Based out of Staffordshire, the role is commutable from Newcastle Under-Lyme, Chesterton, Stoke-on-Trent, Keele, Betley, Clayton, Warrington and surrounding areas.
