Systems and Application Tester required to test and also provide support for high end products going out to market. You will be required to write and plan your own test scripts and must be able to implement new procedures where required as well as collating all data and feeding it back to internal teams, you will be expected to manage the testing phase of the product through the full life cycle and you will be working closely with the internal development team during all stages of the product and project lifecycle.
Some support of the application/system will be required both internally and directly to clients. Ideally you will have experience of supporting UI or Interactive UI applications but if you have experience working within smart home controls, TV Satellite, Wi-Fi, Wireless or Web Database sectors then this would be highly advantageous. Moreover specific experience of testing ipod, Sat Navigations systems and applications would be beneficial.
You must have previous experience working within a similar position and have the experience of testing large consumer products within the above sectors. Experience of regression, functional, performance, manual or automated testing would be of advantage and an understanding of development technologies including HTML, XML, VB, ASP, CSS, Flash, etc would also be of advantage.
You will be a proactive individual with the ability to work to tight deadlines, excellent team player skills are a must but you should also work well as an individual. Having a good eye for detail and presentation is essential and you will have good organisational and time management skills.
Based in East Anglia the role is commutable from Caldecote, Cambridge, Coton, Bourn, Comberton and surrounding areas.
