Lead Scientist required getting involved in automated screening of samples for safety testing and clinical markers. You will also be responsible for project management of clinical studies and the development and validation of assays for screening.
Project Management responsibilities will include the review of clinical protocols, working with teams to prepare manuals and sample kits and you will coordinate cross functional projects. Typical projects you will be required to manage and work on include the development and validation of therapeutic biologics and biomarker assays, etc. You will also be responsible for the analysis of clinical samples for multinational clinical trials, and you will be expected to manage and collate clinical data utilising LIMS reporting system.
You must have proven experience working within a similar position within an analytical/ clinical testing environment and you will have commercial experience of GLP and GCP or CAP and CPA. Ideally you will be educated to degree level or equivalent in Biomedical, Biological Science, Biochemistry or a similar discipline, and any further qualifications will be highly beneficial.
You will be vigilant and meticulous in your approach to your work and you should possess excellent organisational and time management skills. Working with internal departments but also external customers you will have the ability to communicate with both technical and non technical individuals and therefore you possess good interpersonal skills.
Based in Suffolk the role is commutable from Cambridge, Burwell, Soham, Newmarket, Fulbourn and surrounding areas.
