High Profile Head of Waste Management

A Head of Waste Management is required to run services for this busy London council. You will have previous experience of running a successful commercial waste business and be used to dealing with the demands of diverse stakeholders. This is a broad reaching role with the opportunity to get involved in council strategy and encourage community engagement in a variety of schemes. This position is high profile and will allow the right candidate to develop their career exponentially.
Expected
• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Relevant professional qualification
• Substantial practical experience in running municipal waste management services
• Experience in managing relationships with Members of a local authority or equivalent
• Significant practical experience in controlling large revenue budgets.
• Strong contract management skills and experience of public procurement
Advantageous
• Prince 2 practitioner qualification
• Corporate Member of the Chartered Institution of Waste Management
• Experience of managing partnership contracts
• Experience of managing urban street markets
