In this role you will have the opportunity:
• To develop, evaluate and implement sourcing strategies for the allocated sub categories based on medium term objectives. To input to and steer the development of sourcing strategies for the allocated business functions
• To provide expert market knowledge / intelligence for the components within the portfolio
• To search for and develop opportunities for Global or Regional sourcing
Your tasks are:
• Analysis of spend and detailed understanding of the supply market(s), develop and implement sourcing strategies which support the Business strategies and leverage the corporate spend and Brand
• Deliver financial savings and benefits against an annual target
• Build strong relationships with the customer base in order to set sourcing priorities, communicate strategies and to understand and develop the customers’ requirements of suppliers (KPIs)
• Develop and manage supplier relationships, including negotiation of commercial contracts, contract performance and service delivery
• Identify and communicate best practices and develop benchmarks that compare internal performance to industry best practice
• Practice and lead by example the use of common, efficient, ethical procurement processes & procedures
• Educate customers in relevant procurement and contract management skills and techniques
Requirements:
• Knowledge of the relevant supply markets and the ability to interpret & match to business requirements
• Procurement experience or the ability to quickly acquire complex strategic procurement skills
Strong negotiation and contract management skills
• Good interpersonal skills – internal influencing, stakeholder management, persuasiveness
• Excellent communications skills in order to interface with Suppliers and Internal Customers
• Global experience in a large multinational / multicultural organisation
• Proven Project Team Leadership (geographically dispersed and cross-functional)
